Is This Programme for You?

Are you an organisation/institution managing protected areas and looking to deliver a customised Park Management Leadership Development Programme for your teams?

Programme Overview

Today, protected area managers operate in increasingly complex environments. They must balance biodiversity conservation, community development, tourism, financial sustainability, and political realities, often under significant operational pressure.

The Park Management Leadership Development Programme (PMLDP) was developed to address this challenge. Originally delivered in partnership with SANParks on the delivery of their Vision 2040, the programme combines leadership theory, strategic management tools, and applied conservation practice to strengthen decision-making and institutional resilience.

The programme is designed for senior and emerging conservation leaders responsible for managing protected areas within dynamic social, ecological, and economic contexts.
