Richard Vigne

Executive Director

Richard Vigne is the first Executive Director of the School of Wildlife Conservation. Prior to this he was the CEO of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and one of the most successful enterprises in Africa.

Dr. Sue Snyman

Research Director

Dr Sue Snyman holds a Master of Business Science and a PhD in Economics (2008-2013) from the University of Cape Town. She also completed PhD courses in resource and environmental economics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Tiavina Irina Ramandavola

Fundraising & Operations Manager

Tiavina is a development economics graduate specializing in sustainable agriculture. Before transitioning into conservation, she worked as a grant officer for a rural entrepreneurship project with a national organization and as a grant, contract, and procurement specialist with GIZ, an international organization.

Dr. Victor K. Muposhi

Manager, Academic and Programme Coordination

Victor is a holder of DPhil in Conservation Biology, MSc in Conservation Biology, BSc in Environmental Science Honours in Wildlife and Rangeland Management.

Irene Mhlanga

Senior Research Assistant

Irene Mhlanga holds a degree in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Zimbabwe and a special honors degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from Lupane State University.

Yvonne Kidenda

Manager, Professional Development and Consultancy

Yvonne Kidenda is from Nairobi, Kenya, and is passionate about programme development, strategic partnerships, and creating impactful learning experiences. Her interests include conservation, tourism, and expanding access to quality education across Africa. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and mentoring young people.

Olivier Briny Rudasingwa

Senior Operations Associate

Rudasingwa Olivier Briny is an Operations and Academic Associate at ALU School of Wildlife Conservation. Born and raised in Rwanda, I was always an enthusiast of conservation.

Christian Adeoye Adebambo

Research Lead

Christian Adeoye Adebambo holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing from Glasgow Caledonian University. Christian has experience in research and data analysis through academic and internship roles, working on projects involving machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualisation.

Providence Akayezu

Conservation Leadership Faculty

Providence Akayezu is a Conservation Biologist from Rwanda with various interests, including wildlife protection, education, research, and storytelling. Providence likes being connected and having an expanded network.

Leigh-Ann Kant

Head of Programme Development and Learning Systems

Leigh-Ann is experienced within the wildlife economy, spending several years in higher education lecturing wildlife management students and developed strong ties within the organized wildlife industry.

Leslie Bayanza

Research Assistant

Leslie Fatuma Bayanza is a graduate of the African Leadership University with a BA (Honours) in Global Challenges, where she focused on wildlife conservation, sustainable agriculture, and community engagement.

Fred Nkubito

Applied Faculty, Immersive Learning and Sector Practice

Dr. Fred is an urban development practitioner and Applied Faculty at ALU’s School of Wildlife Conservation leading immersive learning and curriculum design. Backed by 10+ years of teaching and field research experience in Rwanda, he holds a doctorate in Urban Development from TU Dresden and a master's from the University of Manchester.

Sevika Varaden

Applied Faculty, Learner Experience and Programme Support

Sevika Varaden Reetoo is an Applied Faculty at ALU’s School of Wildlife Conservation. With a background in climate change and sustainable development, she has supported donor-funded projects, including initiatives to scale up renewable power generation in Mauritius and restore degraded reefs across the Indian Ocean. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at the University of Cape Town and holds a Master’s in International Business from Monash University.
